Fur or Faux Fur?

Fur is definitely a topic of interest in the fashion industry. Sure, it looks great, but just as good as faux fur. I'm personally against using real fur on clothing, and so are many celebrities who pose for advertisements and join campaigns. Some popular PETA campaigns are the "Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" and "Ink Not Mink." I think it's great that celebrities take a stand for what they believe in. Rachel Zoe even recently came out with her own faux fur line that contains jackets and vests that look just as good as normal fur.

Some people that are passionate about these issues will actually walk around New York City throwing red paint on people who are wearing fur. I think that's a little intense, but overall, fur isn't a neccesity and I don't think it should be used in the fashion industry, what's your opinion?

  1. I'm vegan so I absolutely oppose fur and boycott any fashion or beauty products that aren't cruelty free.

  11. I think that there is no need to wear real fur, nor should we wear faux fur because after all, when wearing faux fur, don't you want people to assume/think it's real?

    1. I COMPLETELY agree. To me, faux fur gives many the impression one cannot afford the real fur so they resort to a fake fur. That is just MY opinion

  22. Oh I love this campaign. I really think the only place for real fur is vintage. There is just no reason why there should be more fur being produced, it's kind of crazytown in my head for me.

Faux all the way for me.
