Favorites From The Academy Awards 2011

There weren't a lot of dresses that really stuck out as being absolutely amazing or terribly dreadful on the red carpet at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, but these three ladies are definitely worth mentioning. Here's some of my favorites!

Anne Hathaway. Her stylist, Rachel Zoe, is apparently worth the money she pays. She looked stunning in this red dress with gathering in the all the right places.

Mila Kunis. I loved the color of her dress and the sheerness. She showed just the right amount of skin and her hair and makeup looked great also.

Cate Blanchett. I usually wouldn't like a dress like this, but she looks great in it, and it's nice to see something a little different, especially with details, on the red carpet.

Honorable Mention

Celine Dion, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon

Stylish Blogger Award #2

I feel so honored to be nominated for the Stylish Blogger Award for the second time! To see my first post, click here! I was nominated by the lovely Magickal Goddess, and now here are 7 things about me that you probably don't know!

1.  I won best hair in high school and I usually don't go a day without someone commenting on my hair.
2.  I have over 100 dresses and some I haven't even worn yet.
3.  I judge people immediately based on what they're wearing.
4.  After I live in New York City for a while and work for a magazine, I want to settle down in Los Angeles and live there while still working for a magazine.
5.  Some of my favorite artists are: John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Jack's Mannequin, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Taylor Swift and Kid Cudi.
6.  It takes a lottt for me to cry, and I absolutely hate crying in front of people.
7.  My two favorite colors to wear are colbalt blue and a hot pink with a tint of purple.

Lauren Conrad's New Line: Paper Crown

Although I'm really upset about Lauren Conrad's show being declined by MTV, I couldn't be happier that she's coming out with a new line called Paper Crown! It's scheduled to hit stores in Fall 2011, but she's already passed out her lookbook. Most of the pieces are muted colors, and the collection is definitely cohesive throughout. It's full of flirty and subtly sexy pieces for a cute yet chic look. I'm an avid fan of Conrad and I will definitely be purchasing some of these pieces once it hits racks! Here's some of my favorites from her lookbook!

Daring or Dreadful: Jessica Szohr

Daring or Dreadful? Gossip Girl actress Jessica Szohr was spotted at Chris Benz's Fall 2011 show on February 14th, wearing an embroidered top from Chris Benz himself. It's acutally supposed to be worn as a jacket! What do you think? Daring or dreadful?

h² says: Daring! It's a completely sheer shirt, but she absolutely rocks it with confidence in that black bra. I think she looks amazing!

Alice + Olivia Fall 2011 RTW

One of my favorite designers is Alice + Olivia and they just released their Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear collection on none other than Valentine's Day. The collection is nothing short of classy and stylish with a hint of 70's, incorporating fur and bell bottom styled pants. I adore the dresses and the mix of neutral and dark colors. Here's some of  my favorites, but for the whole collection, click here!

Things I Love: Colorful Watches

Within the past year there has been a major outbreak of watches. Nobody ever used to wear watches, and now it seems like almost everyone does! I personally love them, especially ones in unexpected colors like neon. I have 11 in various colors and styles and I can find one to match any outfit. I especially love wearing a crazy color with a plain outfit. It adds a little versatility. Here's some of my favorites!

1. DKNY - Medium Gold and Black Ceramic Watch
2. MICHAEL Michael Kors - Women's Chronograph Bracelet Watch
3. Guess - Silver-Dial Chronograph Watch

4. MARC by MARC JACOBS - "Sloane" Black Watch
5. Nixon - The Time Teller Bright Blue Watch (in various other colors)
6. Fossil - "Stella" Faux Tortoise Watch

7. Swatch - 'Color Codes' Watch in Dragon Fruit
8. Juicy Couture - 'Her Royal Highness' Plastic Watch
9. Swatch - 'Rebel' Rubber Strap Watch

Daring or Dreadful: Black Sequins/Hardware

Lately I've been seeing lots of sequins, gold hardware and chains, but for most, it just doesn't work out.

Diane Kruger

Nicki Minaj & Heidi Klum

h² says: None of these ladies can pull off the hardware look. Diane and Heidi just over-did it, while Nicki's thighs are just too big to pull off anything of that sort.
