I was recently reading the August 2011 issue of one of my favorite magazines, Glamour. In the fashion section, they featured a blogger who was wearing a denim top paired with denim jeans. They seem to think that denim can be worn in various shades, on various articles of clothing, all in one look. Personally, I'm not a fan. I have yet to see someone pull off what I like to call the "denim suit." The denim suit is when someone wears denim from head to toe, whether it be a jean skirt paired with a jean jacket, or, dare we say, a literal denim suit as seen on Justin Timberlake below...what was he thinking? Do you think you have what it takes to pull of this look? Send me your photos or links to some of your favorites. Maybe I'll change my mind, but until then, let's just keep it to one piece of denim per look. Here's some of my favorite fashion faux pas when it comes to denim...
this is such a great post, it's so funny because I was reading that new issue with Heidi Klum on the cover yesterday and I was thinking the same thing. I know denim and denim is perfectly acceptable but I don't think I could wear it :) Maybe a light shade shirt and ultra dark denim jeans, but I was definitely looking at all those blogger pics wondering if I'd ever wear that.

ReplyDeleteOmg, that denim maxi dress is really ugly and so it the suit. I'm having very differents opinions about this subject every single day. Some days I think it's really cool and some days even sweat pants is better then denim all over. I just think you have to find the perfect set to match! Often I wear some bright Cheap Monday jeans with a shirt stucked into my jeans and a belt, and then I style it with my denim shirt from H&M and use it like a kind of jacket.
