Fur or Faux Fur?

Fur is definitely a topic of interest in the fashion industry. Sure, it looks great, but just as good as faux fur. I'm personally against using real fur on clothing, and so are many celebrities who pose for advertisements and join campaigns. Some popular PETA campaigns are the "Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" and "Ink Not Mink." I think it's great that celebrities take a stand for what they believe in. Rachel Zoe even recently came out with her own faux fur line that contains jackets and vests that look just as good as normal fur.

Some people that are passionate about these issues will actually walk around New York City throwing red paint on people who are wearing fur. I think that's a little intense, but overall, fur isn't a neccesity and I don't think it should be used in the fashion industry, what's your opinion?

Target Brings Back Go International Designer Collection

Over the past five years, Target has been bringing big name designers to our neighborhood department store for deals and steals through their Go International Designer Collective. Designers include Zac Posen, Paul & Joe, Rodarte, and Tucker, just to name a few. This month, they brought back a select few of their (and my!) favorite dresses from the collections. If you missed them the first time around, hurry and order yours right away before it's too late. They're super affordable and cute. Click here to access the online website. Here's some of my favorites.

Dillard's Exclusive: Gianni Bini

One of my favorite designers that isn't widely known is Gianni Bini. The collection is sold exclusively at Dillard's department stores, but there's such a selection of dresses, tops, shoes, handbags and much more that I don't think this designer gets the credit that it deserves! Not to mention, all the prices are fairly affordable and the clothes are good quality. The designs are mostly various solid colors with a few prints mixed in, and the clothing ranges from everday casual to cocktail dress attire. To check out all of the items from Gianni Bini at Dillard's, click here. I've picked out some of my favorites for Spring found below!

Elie Saab Fall 2011 RTW: Dresses

Elie Saab's Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear collection hit the runway on March 9th and I couldn't help but notice all the gorgeous floor length dresses. Saab stuck mostly to the colors black, plum, red, and cream. His collection was good overall, but the dresses were definitely the highlight. To see the full collection, click here.

My favorites were the three pictured above. I just love the slight sparkle and the different style cuts.

WWIB: Kardashian Sister Special

1. Lanvin Hearts H&M dress. Natalie Portman vs. Kim Kardashian.

2. Alexander McQueen gown. Jessica Alba vs. Khloe Kardashian.

3. Ani Lee dress. Kourtney Kardashian vs. Nicky Hilton.

h² says:
1.  Kim Kardashain. I think her fuller shape fills out the dress and fits her much better than Natalie.
2.  Khloe Kardshian. Even though I love the green color of the dress, I still think that Khloe can fill out the dress better, just like Kim.
3.  Kourtney Kardashian. I really like the added collar. And it looks great with her hair up.

So overall, the Kardashians are the winners for this post. I love these sisters, but they definitely do have some questionable fashion moments (Kim at the Critic's Choice Awards). Can't get enough of them and their reality shows though. What do you think?

Kate Moss for Longchamp

Kate Moss has collaborated with Longchamp to formulate her own line of fabulous handbags for the Spring 2011 collection. The collection consists of three sections: Faraway Chic, Faraway on the Road, and Faraway Exotic. Consisting of 11 bags in various colors, this collection is not one to overlook. Here's some of her stunning editorial shots. My favorite is the first one pictured (travel bag) available in four other colors. To see the full collection, click here.
